Chapter 1: The Lab
===========================================================================================Once on a little plant called 'Earth' there was a place called Van Burren, Aransas. In this place was a young human named Tristan H. Cooper, student of North ridge Freshmen alchemy. Little did he know his life was about to change forever.
A young man was sitting in his seat while the morning announcements erupted from the speaker mounted on the wall. "Hello. Today we will be having pizza, mac & cheese and milk for lunch today. Also Ms..." Tristan ignored as the rest of the speech faded into white noise. He scratch his whiskery chin as his thoughts driven to something, which to him was far more important, the show Steven Universe. He simply loved every little thing about it. The background music to the characters, and even the many environments that the show takes place. In fact, every once and a while he messes with his friend who happens to be named Steven by saying, 'I believe in Steven!' The teacher, a short, blonde woman named Ms. Waldrop stood in front of the board and said "Alright class, as you heard in the announcements, we will be heading to the new science lab in the town next over, if you have to the bathroom, do it now." Tristan stood up and reached five ft. 11 in. He walked out the door with his other students to the bathroom on the other side of the hall. After a quick trip to the urinals he washed his hands and ran them trough his thick, brown hair. His friend Steve tapped him on the shoulder. "Hmm? What is it?" Tristan asked as his still looked in the mirror, checking his mane. "Dude, check it out." Steve said. Tristan looked away from the mirror to see him holding a small wrapped box. "What's that?" Tristan asked with a raised brow. "Some chick came to me in the hall way and told me to give it to you." Steve said. Steve handed the small gift to him, he expected the box. It was dark purple and had a pink ribbon. "What could this be...?" Tristan muttered. He tore the paper away and opened it, he pulled out the contest. It was a small oval gem with rectangle cut in the middle, It about filled his whole hand. "Whoa dude, what is that?" Steve asked filled with awe. He gazed at the gem at the gem in his grasp. It was a light blue with hints of black. "Looks like an aquamarine. Wait a minute, who gave you this?" Tristan said. " I dunno, she gave it to me and ran." Steve said with a shrug. "Whatever, we need to get back to class." Tristan said as he turned to the door and placed the gem in his pocket. When they entered the class room he slid on his black and white plade jacket with a grey hood. "Alright class line up." After walking down the halls with his fellows, he and the class arrived at the front of the school where a small bus was waiting. "So... What are we learning on this trip of scientist discovery?" Tristan asked with polite sarcasm. "Out of all the schools in America, we have been chosen to see the very first teleporter attempt in history!" Ms. Waldrop said in a giddy tone. "Nice to see someone excepted." Said her assistant, Ms. Dilwater sarcastilly. "Don't be like that Ms. D." Tristan said playfully as he boarded the bus. After taking a seat by Steve He pulled out his phone and ear buds and played the song 'Stronger Than You' from the Steven Universe episode, 'Jail Break' on infinite loop. The rest of the bus ride was one big haze of beautiful music and the muffled sound of his friends screaming, like any other fieldtrip.

Tristan felt a tapping sensation on his shoulder, he looked away from the widow to see Steve moving his mouth. He took out his ear buds out. "What?" Tristan asked. "Dude, we're here." Steve said pointing to windshield of the bus. They were driving up to a gigantic building covered with widows, there as a large logo of a lightning bolt and sign on the roof. It said 'Power source co.' The bus stopped at the front door. After they all unloaded, a tall and elegant woman in a lab coat walked up to Ms. Waldrop, towering over her. "Good morning. I am Ms. Diamond, we will make our way to the inner chambers of the building to where we will watch the excrement take place." She said in a blank tone. "Remind me to not piss her off." Tristan thought sarcastilly. "Follow me, please." Ms. Diamond said turning back to the building. "What do you think they'll teleport?" Steve asked showing obvious excitement. "How should I know? It could a bucket of sludge for I care, as long as they try something." Tristan whispered to him. After a few minutes of walking down plights of stairs they arrived in a clean lab where many scientists where hard at work. In the middle of the room there where two chairs back to back, with a large caliche laser above it. Another scientist walked up to Ms. Diamond. "We have a problem! The test subject chicken out! And thanks to the animal rights act, we can't even use any of the monkeys we use for the new make-up." He said. Ms. Diamond looked slightly upset, then looked like she was in deep thought. She looked up at the class. "Listen up, We have put to much money into this project to stop now. If any of you are willing to be a makeshift test subject, I personally promise you will have a Noble prize and be known as the first human in history to be teleported from one point to another." She said. They group stayed silent. "Ugh... Fine, be that way." Ms. Diamond said. She rubbed her chin and squinted at them. "YOU!" She said as she pointed at the tallest of the group. "Me!?!" Tristan yelped. "Yes, you. Now sit on the chair and be a man." She said. "Why me...?" Tristan said as he started to move to the chair. After he sat down metal cuffs slammed down on his wrist, trapping him. "Hey! What the hell!?!" Tristan yelled. "Language, please. It's just to make sure you don't move too much." Ms. Diamond said turned to a monitor. "Fine, but if I find myself in china there will be hell to pay." Tristan hissed. "Noted." She snorted. "Its alright dude, YOU GOT THIS!" Steve praised. "Easy for you to say, your not the one about to be shot by a freakin' death ray." Tristan muttered as he layed back into the chair. After the scientists started to turn nobs and levers, the machine started to hum. lights bulbs started to flash red, the tip of the machine started to crackle with pink electricity. A black beam erupted from the tip of the laser and engulfed the chairs and Tristan. "FUUUUUU-" Is all that could be heard when the light dieded down. All there was where the chairs, giving off small amounts of smoke. Ms. Diamond stared at the chairs with shock. "Well... Don't be surprised if you get a very angary phone call from China." Steve said.
